Biorisk Management and Trainer Development Program African Centre for Integrated Laboratory Training (ACILT) in conjunction with the International Threat Reduction Program (Sandia National Laboratories) hosted the second Biorisk Management and Trainer Development Program from 6th to 10th May 2013. Two international biorisk management experts, LouAnn Crawford Burnett and Lynn Fondren, assisted by SABA secretary Anastasia Trataris-Rebisz (who was a participant in the November 2012 course) spent 5 days training 15 enthusiastic participants about Training Biorisk Management. The response to the course was great and participants left the training feeling inspired and confident to spread the word about the importance of Biorisk management and training techniques that stick. Here are some of the comments received about the course:

“One of the best courses I’ve ever been on. Definitely give a new perspective on training and the psychology behind it. What a fun way to learn, highly recommended!” - Adrienne Saif (NICD participant)

“Brilliant is the only word to describe the energy, and teaching style of 2 very professional ladies.Thank you very much for changing my life. As dramatic as that may sound, you have done a lot to influence the way I view training and Biorisk management. The course is vibrant interactive and very well executed! There is a reason why these ladies are experts. LouAnn, I drank the Kool-Aid!!!!”Anastasia Trataris-Rebisz
